MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
C.B. Kaymich & Co. limited MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2019 - 2020
INTRODUCTION
This modern slavery and human trafficking statement is made on behalf of C.B. Kaymich & Co. Limited pursuant to section 54(1) Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We at C.B. Kaymich & Co. Limited agree that modern slavery is one of, if not "the great human rights issue of our time".
We are committed to contributing in whatever way we can to eradicate this issue in all its forms, from sexual exploitation and domestic servitude to forced labour and criminal exploitation.
Whilst not strictly required under UK law to comply with a business organisation's obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we whole heartedly recognise that taking action against slavery and human trafficking is absolutely the right thing to do.
As an SME manufacturing within the UK using ethically sourced UK materials, components and labour, we realise that our opportunity to contribute practically to the struggle against modern day slavery is limited.
Nevertheless as an international supplier to a global industry, Kaymich commit to taking an active role in supporting our customers and suppliers in their efforts in this area.
Our efforts in 2020 include:
• Making a clear public statement of intent.
• Working with local government and the Chamber of Commerce to identify appropriate steps and those resources available to help us.
• Educating staff regarding our policy, our expectations of their role within it and the information and resources available to help them.
• Working with customers and suppliers to spot signs of abuse, work together to help those who cannot help themselves and contribute in any way we can to defeating modern day slavery.
